So many families are greatly impacted by this disease and are badly in need of help and guidance. This is how I will have an impact on the world! Currently, in the United States, there are almost 7 million people living with Alzheimer's disease. Today, someone in the U.S. develops Alzheimer’s disease every 66 seconds. Based on that, by the middle of the century, someone in the U.S. will develop the disease every 33 seconds and as many as 16 million people could be afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease in the U.S. by 2050 if a cure is not found, according to the Alzheimer's association.
