Steak ’N Shake Switches to Beef Tallow Fries

RFK Jr hasn’t been confirmed yet but this fast food restaurant is already making healthier moves!

It’s fair to say RFK Jr has brought the healthy food movement to the forefront and though he has yet to be confirmed as HHS secretary, his message has already inspired some American restaurant chains to make some changes.

Take Steak n Shake, for example, the fast food chain announced that ALL of its Florida locations are now cooking French fries in beef tallow. 

The chain also committed to switching to the beef tallow method in all locations by the end of the month. 

That means no seed oil, chemicals, preservatives or other nasty additives- in the fries at least.

Yes, that means there will no longer be a vegetarian option for the fries but the chain’s COO said it plainly, “Vegetarians should eat fries elsewhere.”

Now beef tallow isn’t necessarily “healthy” but when used sparingly, it has its benefits and is preferred to the now standard seed oils used in about everything else these days!
