On this month’s episode Elizabeth Emery talks to two influencers in the world of women's cycling; Diane Jenks and Anne-Marije Rook. For close to eight years Diane has hosted a weekly radio show, Outspoken Cyclist, which is also available as a podcast. She talks with notables from the wide range of cycling including industry, advocacy, and the cycling community of manufacturers, bicycle builders, riders, trainers, coaches, and legislators. Diane also has 36 years of bicycle shop experience so talks about fit, performance, and training. She talks about podcasting, her perspective on cycling after being involved for so long, and women in cycling. Dutch born Anne-Marije Rook is a multilingual journalist currently living in Seattle, Washington who has worked in media for well over a decade from print, radio, online, and photojournalism. Currently she works as the editor of Ella CyclingTips, where she covers the racing, equity in the sport, and tech. Anne is enthusiastically passionate about cycling—all kinds of cycling—which you will definitely hear in the conversation. She’s also an active transportation advocate, an elite bike racer, as well as cycling coach and mentor. To encourage more people to get out on a bike, Anne does her best to ride with everyone who asks.
