Welcome to PICTURE THIS, an exploration through every Best Picture nominee ever. This month, hosts Dylan Randazzo and Chadwick Webb are looking at the nominees of 1972 (for the 1973 ceremony). The slate of movies are "Cabaret," "Deliverance," "The Emigrants," "The Godfather," and "Sounder." We are also so lucky to be joined by an esteemed guest, Dan Skip Allen (Disappointment Media) who was so passionate about his love for the year 1972.
We break down each nominee individually, discuss some other notable 1972 movies, and in the end, we will rank the nominees ourselves to determine OUR Best Picture winner of 1972. We will also award prizes to our best actors and actresses of these five films.
Also, make sure to stick around for the end, where we will announce NEXT month's year in Oscars history.
