Found In Translation With Ray Collazo
News:Politics
Host Ray Collazo is joined by Miguel Guadaloupe, Vice Chair of National Puerto Rican Day Parade Committee, to preview the upcoming parade on Sunday, June 11th in New York City. Guadaloupe details the planning and execution that has taken place to prepare for the iconic 66th annual parade. Guadaloupe and Collazo discuss how the parade has evolved as the diaspora expands across the country and our connection with the island becomes stronger.
Collazo and Guadaloupe review this year's honorees, the parade's scholarship program that is providing assistance to 100 Puerto Rican students and the historic lineup of parade participants. Guadaloupe also addresses criticisms of the parade's cooperate partnerships and how they have developed a 'Puerto Rican Day Parade 2.0' model based off past experiences.
