Laban is in hot pursuit of Jacob but the real story is that God is in hot pursuit of Laban.  God reveals Himself in a dream to Laban.  You'd think this would change every moment of every day for the rest of His life.  Sadly, it does not.  Laban still sets his face toward the false god idols that have gone missing.
