Owlman of Cornwall

For the past century there has been a winged man-like entity haunting a small church of the English countryside. It has been described as being five feet in height with silvery-gray feathers and black pincer-like feet. Although the community and parish respond that the entity is only a large owl, there is enough evidence to suggest there is more,

Is this a supernatural spirit guarding the grounds for some unknown reason?
