Sharine Taylor : Curating A Global Jamaican Voice

Sharine Taylor is the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Bashy Magazine, a print and digital publication out of Canada. This Jamaican cultural and lifestyle magazine is different in its intent and function. Bashy wants to broaden and deepen the conversation about Jamaica, what it means to be Jamaican and how Jamaican-ness is experienced globally.

Put simply Bashy is attempting to change definitions and add nuance to global conversations, by allowing Jamaicans whether at home or in the Diaspora a voice to tell their stories.
