People are always searching for something outside of themselves. They want to connect with influential people who can help them get to the next level. In doing so, they often set themselves up to be used, hurt and abused. They don't see that they are the person they need!

On the other hand, you have those who are aware that they are influential and they abuse others or only associate or connect with them when they assess their value as being worthy of such associations or connections. This means that they often leave very gifted, kind, and genuine people on the cutting room floor so to speak, which in turn can break their spirits and leave them discouraged.
