Born and bred in upper New York State, Governor Hochul is lawyer, a mother and lifetime public servant, Governor Hochul is also a tireless advocate for women’s rights and women in leadership. She stepped up to the plate when opportunity called, and she’s a big proponent of more women feeling the confidence to do the same. Governor Hochul makes the argument that Democrats must, and can, protect our majority in government and that we need to reach out to anyone who believes in democracy and the American experiment to fight for values that are currently under attack. Governor Hochul really seems to be the real deal. A leader who believes in listening, collaboration and learning from others. She’s also not afraid to get scrappy if the moment calls for it. As Governor Hochul said, “I’m hardwired to help other people, and I’m in a position to do something about it.” Shouldn’t we all have leaders who feel that same pull?
