Jim Hale graduated from Dartmouth in 1962, and from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1965. He served as a law clerk to Chief Justice Earl Warren at the Supreme Court in 1965-66 where he spent a significant amount of this time helping to draft the Miranda opinion.  After 13 years with the Minneapolis law firm of Faegre & Benson in 1979 Jim joined General Mills as head of its international acquisition team.
