When Boston-based police officer David met Lilly while volunteering at an animal shelter, she jumped straight into the back of his van. That's when he knew they were going to be family, so he introduced Lilly to his mom who was in need of a companion. But after one fateful night, Lily's act of heroism would change all of their lives forever.
