Nehemiah wasn’t the only one rebuilding Jerusalem after the exile. Alongside him stood Zerubbabel, who rebuilt the temple, and Ezra, who restored the law. Together, they accomplished incredible things—but even their best efforts fell short of the vision the prophets spoke of.
