Theo Squires is joined by former Liverpool and Azzuri midfielder Alberto Aquilani to reflect on his time at Liverpool and in the Serie A.

The Italian breaks down the ins and outs of his transfer to Anfield, both on the pitch with his injury problems and behind the scenes regarding Rafa Benitez and Gillette and Hicks.

He describes his experiences playing alongside Liverpool legends Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres amongst others, and compares them to other footballing icons he’s shared the pitch with, including none other than a young Mohamed Salah plying his trade with Fiorentina.

Alberto concludes by admitting his regret that things didn’t go his way at Liverpool, and the difficult exit which led him to various loan spells before a permanent move back to Italy.
