Ursprünglich sollte "Mulholland Drive" eine Serie werden. Der Pilot war abgedreht, wurde aber vom Studio abgelehnt. Ein großes Glück für das Kino. David Lynch zaubert mit einem Nachdreh einen der faszinierendsten Filme aller Zeiten auf die Leinwand. Marcus und Sebastian stürzen sich in die Abgründe dieses Films, die, wie bei Lynch üblich, aus düsteren Rätseln bestehen.
