113: I’m Not Done Yet with Abbi Gaetano

Abbi began competing 5 years ago at age 37. Now at age 42 she is an online lifestyle coach for pro physiques and an in person trainer at EOSFitness. She’s been competing for 5 years and won her pro card at masters nationals in 2016. She was a young mom of 3 and gave her life to her children. Competing was the one thing she could control in her life which made her cling to the sport even more.

After seeing a show she was hooked and immediately jumped into her first show after a 7 week prep with a local coach in Utah. Abbi didn’t think twice about her age. Age wasn’t a factor to her and she didn’t let it hold her back at all in her journey. After a few years of competing she struggled with issues with her thyroid and a shoulder surgery which led her to taking time off away from the stage.

During this time, she thought she was done but an inner voice and the help of her coach lit a fire in her to return to the stage. Abby came back full speed a head dominating the stage and placing 1st at Northern California.
