Athlete Profile: Ellen Donnelly, Go-Kart Racer

Ellen Donnelly from Castlemartyr, County Cork is a newcomer to motorsport. She has always been a fan of go karts and had been encouraged there to try her hand at racing the faster versions as they could see her potential.  She is now racing the Lame X30 Junior class,  It is one of the most powerful junior classes, with top speed about 70 mph, for drivers age 13 – 17 years, since only June of this year.  Presently competing in Club Championships only and planning to move to Motor Sports Ireland Championships for the next season. Ellen drives with NCM Team who are based in Athboy and has great support from Team Manager Noel Carey and his crew.
