Like most things Euripides wrote, his treatment of the Olympian gods and what they were capable of (and best of all, how that's received by mortals) is absolutely ripe for interpretation. Euripides walked the line of impiety and seemed to have a ball. CW/TW: far too many Greek myths involve assault.
