George Groot doceert, is tekstdichter en cabaretier. Hij schreef al meer dan driehonderd (cabaret)liedjes. Het meest bekend is hij als lid van de cabaretgroep ‘Don Quischocking’, opgericht in 1967. Momenteel trekt hij weer langs de theaters samen met Adelheid Roosen, Titus Muizelaar en Lineke Rijxman.
