This episode was a sensitive one for me. I touch on issues like the pandemic, the invasion of Ukraine, emotional defeat and some of the forms in which it shows itself. Within the episode, I speak to a challenging moment I experienced during the pandemic and some of the lessons that came from it. I read a poem, fitting for the times, by Khalil Gibran and teach an easy and powerful EMDR practice. Check out our Patreon to join our community and to participate in our monthly virtual meet-ups! A quote I'm thinking about this week...
"O joy of suffering!
To struggle against great odds!
To meet enemies undaunted!
To be entirely alone with them!
To find how much one can stand!
To look strife, torture, prison, popular odium, death, face to face!
To mount the scaffold!
To advance to the muzzles of guns with perfect nonchalance!
To be indeed be a god!"
-Walt Whitman
