2/28/18 - Mark Levin Audio Rewind

On Wednesday's Mark Levin show, Ben Ferguson of WREC in Memphis, Tennessee fills in for Mark. The media is reporting that President Trump is shockingly supporting Barack Obama’s gun control ideas. The media wants us to freak out, have a big fight on this and get nothing done. The Founding Fathers made it very clear that the 2nd amendment was nonnegotiable. Trump now wants to raise the age to buy an AR-15 from 18 to 21. This gun debate is filled with propaganda of both sides. However, when a DUI happens, we don’t blame the car or alcohol but the driver. When a bombing happens, we don’t blame the chemicals or bomb making materials but the bomber.  In a shooting we blame the guns and not the person - why the change in logic?  After that, Dick's Sporting Goods is not going to sell assault style weapons anymore. This was just a cowardly PR move and a business decision where they bowed to the peer pressure of the media. In addition, Walmart is raising the minimum age to purchase firearms in their store to 21. Many 18 year olds don’t live with their parents and should not have their rights taken away. This is not going to lower death rates in country and is 100% a move to make us feel better but has no impact. Later, Trump wants take away our guns first and then go through due process second. You can’t take away someone’s guns before due process.
