Commons and monasticism

Capitalism: we hate it. It's taking over every section of life and commodifying the things we need to live. A lot of socialists talk about reviving and reclaiming the commons, and that sounds good to us, but what kind of institutions would we need to manage those commons? 

Don't worry, some economists have some ideas: monasticism.
