Hakim Sanai | Meeting Lai Khur – O encontro com Lai Khur

"Attar was the soul, Sanai the two eyes. We walk the road of Sanai and Attar.” In saying this, Rumi acknowledged Hakim Sanai and Attar as his two primary inspirations. Hakim Sanai was a Court poet serving the Sultan Mahmud of Ghazni. When the Sultan decided to attack India, he invited Sanai to join him and write about it. As they left, passing by a walled garden they were mesmerized by the music that came from the other side of the wall. They entered the garden to find Lai Khur, who was known as a mad mystic man. While telling this story, Vasant Swaha mentions not only Hakim Sanai's satori (a sudden state of consciousness) but also brings to light Meher Baba, who experienced a satori as a child when kissed on the forehead by an enlightened woman.

Hakim Sanai foi poeta da Corte, servindo ao sultão Mamude de Gásni. Quando o sultão decidiu atacar a Índia, convidou Sanai para acompanhá-lo e escrever sobre aquilo. Ao partirem, passaram por um jardim murado e ficaram fascinados pela música que vinha do outro lado do muro. Entraram no jardim e encontraram Lai Khur, conhecido por ser um místico louco. Ao contar essa história, Vasant Swaha menciona não apenas o satori (um repentino estado de consciência) de Hakim Sanai, mas também traz à luz Meher Baba, que vivenciou um satori quando criança, ao ser beijado na testa por uma iluminada.
