We talk about how to create safety and hold space for loved ones in relationships. It is so important to know how to make people feel safe if we want to allow others to authentically communicate their truth. She takes us through a wonderful acrostic using the word HEART.

Creating Safety in a Relationship by Opening Your HEART

H - Help or Hear? Ask what they need (listener) or ask what it is that you need (sharer).

E - Each of you are autonomous individuals.

A - Accept yourself and your partner. Give Attention - if you can't give a time when you can (receiver). Articulate clearly as you share or repeat what you heard them say (receiver) and Advocate for your needs as you go (both).

R - Be Reliable (always do the above), Responsible for your "stuff," and Respectful of boundaries, agreements and differences.

T - Transparency builds Trust. You're a Team. Tune-in to your partner afterwards to connect. Thank you partner.

It's so important to be able to communicate your truth to those that we love but often it doesn't feel safe to do so and we wonder why we keep our thoughts to ourself and feel alone. Today we talk about how to communicate safely and how to hold a safe space for your partner.
