For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.

For the Love of Money

In 1973, the O'Jays released the song "For the Love of Money" that has become better known as the theme song for Donald Trump's "The Apprentice". The song describes the depths of evil that people will commit just for money. Through the song, "Money is the root of all evil / do funny things to some people" repeats.

Money does do strange things to people. For many, it's seen as the solution to all their problems. The one thing money will NOT DO is solve your problems. The only thing that will solve your problems is Jesus Christ.

Your problems are caused by sin. The only solution to sin is Jesus Christ. You cannot redeem yourself. You can only be redeemed by Jesus' blood shed on the cross. You cannot purchase it. It is a free gift that a loving Savior hands out to all who believe in Him. Your loving Savior's arms are outstretched to you this morning. Will you not run into His loving embrace? Amen.
