This episode's guest is Pete Spurrier. Pete is an author, a publisher and an adventurer, best known for his hiking books of Hong Kong. His own adventure began in 1991 when, equipped with a backpack and a tent, he boarded a ferry at Folkestone and 2.5 years later arrived at the South China Sea. He followed the Silk Road from West to East during the collapse of the Soviet Union, supported himself by braiding hair, picking oranges and becoming a film extra and once spent a night in an abandoned village populated only by hand-sized Nephila spiders. Recorded in Green Park, London.
