- “Personal brand strategy is the monetization of your reputation.”

- “Before you have clear messaging you have to have clear positioning- you have to be clear on who you are.”
- “The goal is to find your uniqueness and exploit it in the service of others.”
- “There are two groups of people: those you are unknown and those who are known.”
- “The real secret is finding the one thing that you can be known for. Then you can focus your content and messaging to break through the wall and become known for one thing.”
Get Clear on Your Purpose [22:30]
- “The first question we ask people starting with personal branding is, “In one word, what problem do you solve?”
- "People do the right things in the wrong order. They jump to the external before they do the internal.”
- “For every person, you are most powerfully positioned to serve the person you once were.”
- “Everything I went through in my life set me up to do what I do today.”
- “Look at your life right now, and think about what pain you were in( or are in) and ask, ‘how can this potentially set me up in the future as something I can use.’”
Make Yourself Unique [34:00]
- “The uniqueness of a person is more connected to, ‘What is that thing on a Saturday afternoon that you would sit and read about for no reason?’. Those are hints to us to discover our uniqueness.“
- “There’s only 5 ways to monetize a personal brand. We call these the PAIDS- Products, Ads and Affiliates, Information based products, Deals, Services.”
- “Just like there’s uniqueness to your positioning, there should be a uniqueness to your monetization strategy.”
Get Clear on Your Purpose [42:23]
- “For your long term business model, look for DARES- Digital, Automated, Recurring, Evergreen, and Scalable.”
- “People waste too much time on trying to find the perfect business model, product to sell, platform to be on, trend to follow, technique or hack. There’s no right answer! It’s just figuring out what your answer is.”
- “It feels like there’s a lock we don’t have the key to. Brand Builders Group helps you to find the combination to the lock that fits you.”
