The King County Prosecutor's Office said Tuesday that it has filed first-degree murder charges against a man who was caught on camera throwing a woman down the steps of a Seattle light rail station and then stabbing another person at a Sound Transit bus stop.
Alexander Sherad Jay, 40, who is also known as Jay Alexander, is accused of grabbing his 62-year-old victim at the International District light rail station and throwing her down the stairs before following her downstairs and shoving her further down the steps. The suspect then allegedly kicked the woman in the face.
