I don’t have a mortgage, why should I care about the cash rate?

Yesterday the Reserve Bank of Australia announced that they were holding the cash rate at 4.35% - the same position since November, 2023.  While this decision came as no shock to the majority of economists, it was anticipated that cash rates would be falling by the end of 2024.
