Episode 348: The Unspoken God, Part Two--God Moments

In their new series, "The Unspoken God," pastors Erica, Sarah, and Steve are exploring those times when we sense God's presence or action in the world beyond our words to express the experience.  This time, the conversation takes us to the experience of "God moments" or "God sightings"--those times when you see or sense God at work in the world, and how recognize God in the midst of ordinary life.  In a culture where religious voices (often self-appointed ones, too) point to disasters, earthquakes, hurricanes, and the like as "acts of God" sent as judgment on this or that sin, how do we offer a different perspective that recognizes God's presence in small places, answers to prayer, or acts of kindness?  How do we know that the nudges we get to take a certain action or make a certain decision are from God and not just our own baptized self-interest? And how can we get better at recognizing those places where God is at work in the world around us in the everyday?
