Mark’s Oreo Cookie, Part 1 - Mark 5:21-43

Mark's Gospel contains some interesting literary style and in today's passage we'll see how one story (Cookie #1) is interrupted by another story (the filling), and then the wrap-up to the first story becomes Cookie #2. We'll see how Jesus displays his compassion and authority by helping a Synagogue official and a woman who had suffered for twelve years from a medical condition that no doctor could cure.
