162 – Emperor Coenwulf, Emperor Charlemagne, and The World

To start with, we ended the last episode with a brief teaser of what was happening on the continent.  So Pope Leo III was on the lam, having been curb stomped, but Charlemagne welcomed him with open arms and made such a big deal of him that their meeting was even the subject of an epic poem.
