On today's show we get an update from one of our favorite guests about some of the most vulnerable during this pandemic, our homeless neighbors. Amber Sheikh Ginsberg is an LA based non-profit consultant that has been heavily involved with making resources known to our local homeless community. From resourcing and dropping off tents to sitting with the Mayor to brainstorm solutions she is in the thick of it.

HARBOR NEIGHBORHOOD RELIEF FUND
To provide immediate support and resources to the most vulnerable populations in the Harbor area.
The Harbor Neighborhood Relief Fund is a centralized resource formed in order to respond to the immediate needs of the most vulnerable populations in the LA Harbor area — especially due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Donations will pass directly though Feed and Be Fed (FBF), a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit, and administered by the San Pedro (SP) Chamber of Commerce’s Quality of Life Committee (QoL). QoL will be made up of: Current QoL Committee members and San Pedro Faith Consortium members (including FBF representation).
The SP Chamber and Faith Consortium will solicit contributions from their communities — people and entities that would like to address the impact of COVID-19 on vulnerable populations in our communities. Funds would, for example support:
Those unemployed and/or at risk of losing housing as a result of COVID-19Contributions would be made directly to — and accounted for by — FBF, with the assistance of the SP Chamber. No administrative costs/fees will come from the fund. One hundred percent of the fund will pass through to the community.
Additionally, the Harbor Neighborhood Relief Fund will provide In-kind donations and pro-bono services to vulnerable populations and the community-based organization’s (CBO) that serve them.
