Season 4 - Episode 10 - Finding Gratitude in Trusting God Together

This week I am speaking with Susan and Craig Taunton, the parents of recent guest Christian singer-songwriter Laurel Taylor (From Season 4-Episode 3). They wanted the opportunity to share their family’s story from the parent’s perspective as well as Laurel’s, and it was powerful to hear it from all sides! Susan grew up in Montgomery, Alabama. She married at age 19 to her high-school sweetheart. She has two children, a boy and a girl, and is a grandmother(Tutu) of 3 precious boys! Susan is a Believer who has been walking with Jesus for 25 years. She enjoys gospel music and loves reading the Word and Christian non-fiction, keeping her grand boys, and traveling to her daughter’s events to worship with her. Susan has a passion for the homeless community as well! Craig was Born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. His Father passed away from cancer in 1973, when he was only eight years old. Craig’s brother and sister were graduating high school when He was born, so He grew up much like an only child. Craig was baptized at an early age but went a bit wayward during his teenage years. He married his high school sweetheart. Craig and Susan have been together since 1980. He is Retired from the State of Alabama in engineering, and now he is a self-employed contractor. Craig is proud of his family and, through the Lord’s help, what they have all been able to overcome. You won’t want to miss this special episode. We rarely get to hear other perspectives and pieces of our stories. This family has an amazing testimony of faith and trust in the Lord!
