E#135 - Toll’ing Us, But Are We London? Vancouver Real Estate Podcast

This week Jay & Ben discuss the new proposed City-Toll that may be coming to the Vancouver core! This is just currently a proposal from a 3rd party group that is being proposed in the coming weeks here in vancouver. If passed everything is planned to be implemented by the mid-2020's (2025?) There are no set numbers yet about what the toll will cost to pay-by. However there are rough estimates of $500 million to implement and that it will roughly collect $250 million/year in tolls. There is also talk that something like this could remove the current $0.17/litre of Carbon Tax that is currently in place here in BC. What do you think will happen? Think it will pass?
