Roland is in Oregon interviewing Erika's mother. Years later, and the pain is still there. Afterwards, Rae continues to work her magic on Jake. But Jake has a run-in with his friend Ansel, who questions him about both Rae and Roland. Later, Rae sets up a meeting so Jake can actually have a one-on-one with Roland.
