The Lycian Peasants in Ovid’s Metamorphoses

This is an excerpt from a new film entitled "In Search of the Earth-Mother of Anatolia" - In this scene I visit the ruins of the holy Lycian site of Letoon where the goddess Leto was worshipped in ancient times. I read a story from Ovid about how Leto came to Lycia and had a run in with the local peasants when they wouldn't let her drink from a pond.
