OUR CONSTITUTION AND OUR LEGAL SYSTEM ARE ON TRIAL—NOT DONALD TRUMP, SAYS NY ATTORNEY AMEER BENNO

The victims in this case against Trump are the taxpayers, the citizens, Americans all are victims in this.  If you look at the indictment, it’s laughable.  There’s not even a crime.  D.A. Alvin Bragg is advancing untested legal theories about prosecuting under state law a federal candidate and trying to apply New York State campaign finance laws to it.  The DOJ, Special Counsel and the prosecutor in Georgia must be livid about this case because Ameer Benno believes Bragg’s flimsy charges contaminated all those cases.  The reason Bragg is bringing this case is to be a distraction for the failings of the Biden Administration.  We’re not talking about those failings or hunter Biden.  Now Donald Trump is the center of the conversation.  This case brings us to an inflection point, a moment Benno hopes will jar Americans to see what’s really going on in this country.  It’s not just about a prosecution of a former President and potentially the next President.  It’s really about the weaponization of our government to target political opposition.
