SLOW START: Panthers couldn’t match the Flyers energy as they drop the first game of the road trip

On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) is here to break down the Panthers' 5-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers, where a slow start and lack of jump had the Panthers falling behind in the first period. Although the Panthers tilted the ice from the second period on, Philadelphia was able to capitalize on Panthers mistakes, and the puck ended up in the back of their net. Special teams showed up once again, as they added a short handed goal to the tally, thanks to Sam Reinhart. Sam Bennett gave power play one a boost when he tied the game at two in the third period, and the Panthers went on a stretch where they didn't surrender a shot in 20 minutes of play, but taking penalty while on the power play gave the momentum back to the Flyers and they ended up retaking the lead and pulling away after. Daniil Tarasov made his Panthers debut between the pipes, and he gave the Panthers a solid chance in the game, especially on one penalty kill where the Panthers were in their end for the entirety of the two minutes, but they will need to support him with goals at even strength during his starts.
