Based on Ghostbusters by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis and its franchise, Extreme Ghostbusters is the animated television series which serves as a sequel to The Real Ghostbusters (1986 - 1991). Luke and Nathan revisit this 40-episode 1997 series which initially aired on the syndicated Bohbot Kids Network's "Extreme Block". Dr. Egon Spengler agrees to help a group of his young students re-form the Ghostbusters under his mentorship.
