Ep 219 - Richard Cimerman (Long-Term-Care, the Village of Riverside Glen)

For this episode I had a really cool opportunity, getting to interview a guest with "Aphasia", named Rick Cimerman, living in Long Term Care at The Village of Riverside Glen . If you're not familiar with Aphasia, Aphasia refers to "trouble with speaking, understanding speech, or reading or writing as a result of damage to the part of the brain that is responsible for language processing or understanding" In this case the Aphasia was the result of a stroke. It was a new challenge for me, navigating how to respectfully edit our interview while preserving the authenticity of Rick's voice. The result is different than what you might typically hear on the radio, but hopefully it will be clear to listeners how much we enjoyed each other's company!
