Today we process a scene from Antwan Fisher, where we follow him through therapy sessions. He goes from avoidance to opening up and then regreeting what is going on due to trauma responses and feeling lost in life. The stigma for needing therapy is still a thing; for black and brown folks, it's even worse. Not trusting others and trying to do it all on your own, being hurt over and over in life and your traumas shutting you off from the world is common. This movie touches on PTSD and how the therapeutic bond can change someone's life. We talk about this and more about getting therapy, being a person of color, and dealing with trauma. Therapy is a process; Healing is a process! Comment with your favorite parts for us. Let us know what shows you want us to cover, and we will get it down!
