In life, we are constantly in motion. But what happens when you lack a sense of calm even in stillness?
Not because your mind won't settle, but because a neurological disorder is steering the wheel.
That's how filmmaker Kimberly Warner lives her life everyday. A vestibular disorder called Mal de Debarquement changed her life in 2015. And now she lives with constant rocking, bobbing and swaying that feels more like life on a boat. With no cure for this chronic illness, all hope seemed lost. Until the lightbulb went off that brought back a sense of balance and grace in Kim's life.
Her storytelling took a turn and that's where Unfixed Media was born.
On this episode of HIListically Speaking, Kim shares her story of what it's like to be Unfixed. And how it's propelled her into motion in a positive way. To hold space for others with disabilities to share their every day lives from an unfixed but far from broken point of view.
