My Precious Andy Serkis

Andy Serkis is one of the true pioneers of motion capture acting, and is responsible for bringing some of the biggest characters in movie history to life including Gollum in The Lord of the Rings, Caesar in Planet of the Apes, King Kong, and Supreme Leader Snoke in the Star Wars sequel trilogy! Andy explains how he created Gollum’s iconic voice and physicality, why Peter Jackson put him in the scenes with Elijah Wood and Sean Astin instead of using a tennis ball, and how motion capture technology evolved throughout the LOTR trilogy.
