The case quickly became a fight over what actually happened in the moments after that baby was born. Prosecutors told the jury the newborn was alive. The defense insisted she was stillborn. And in the end, jurors were left trying to decide whether Brooke Richardson killed her baby, or whether the truth was something that could never be fully proven.
