Dr. Kristin Kobez Du Mez joins the Tent to talk with Christopher Marchand. Kristin is Professor of History at Calvin University and is author of Jesus and John Wayne: How White Evangelicals Corrupted a Faith and Fractured a Nation. Not to be confused with a "John Wayne Study Bible" her book is instead a sprawling history of 20th and 21st Century Evangelical Church culture detailing how unhealthy understandings of masculinity coupled with a desire for political power and influence have created a crisis in American Christianity.
