We continue to provide general guidelines as a part of our introduction to the Song of Songs. All of this introductory material is recommended prior to entering into the textual study of the Song.
WARNING: The following material is intended for mature audiences. While this is a Bible study, the Song of Songs is written with references to sexual themes, intimate textual innuendos, and suggestive figurative language that may not be suitable for some audiences. Viewer discretion is advised. It is recommended that you approach this book from God with pure motives and pray that His will in preserving these lyrics can be a blessing to you. It is advisable that if you have been enjoying this podcast with young ears present that you refrain from doing so. Wait until you are in a private setting. Thank you for taking this word of caution into consideration as we begin today’s episode.
As we start season 4 we are going to be addressing the awakening of love. What is God's will for our lives in the areas of pursuing love and the intimacy that we long for? We are going to address some introductory material in this episode that will help you understand the purpose of titling this series of messages, Love Awakening. Several times in the Song of Songs we hear the words, "Do not arouse or awaken love until it pleases". This is an adjuration that is not advice that we can take or leave. We must be certain that our love and the making of love is maintained in the marriage bed. We will explore how we can return to God's original plan for one man and one woman to enjoy life together while fulfilling all of their wildest fantasies and desires together.
