Mature Discipleship

In this second talk from our Weekend Away series, we reflect on what it means to follow Jesus in midlife, the long stretch of life where responsibilities increase, energy decreases, and disillusionment can quietly take root. This season brings the challenge of giving our lives away, and yet it also offers deep potential for fruitfulness in the Kingdom. Through the lens of the Emmaus Road story and Isaiah’s vision of comfort and strength, we’re reminded that Jesus meets us even in our disappointments. He walks with us, strengthens us through his Word, restores our joy, and invites us to serve him with renewed hope. This is a message of encouragement for anyone feeling weary or restless, pointing us to the God who never grows tired and whose promises still hold.
