Welcome to Woman Leadership show. I'm Janet and in this episode, I will be sharing with you in managing my time as working mum.

I do wonder how mothers can manage their time as working mum and taking care of house, children and their own parents. I was told that women can multi-task and juggles between various tasks at the same time. I also got to learn that our brain does not work that way, we need to focus one task at the same time.

Whatever it is, the reality is woman has to manage multiple roles as caregiver to parents, wife, mother and daughter in law. Looking back at how I manage the various responsibilities, the first important thing for me it to take care of myself. There were times I broke down, feeling exhausted and wanted to give up just felt the burden was just too overwhelming. Should that happened to me, no one will take care of my mum , no mother to care for the children , studies and their well being and to take care of the house.

Take time off for myself to do my hair, pedicure, facial , massage. Walks

To learn to have a time table so I will not lose track of children school dates for tests, exam, tuition timings

Supportive husband , family members , helper and friends whom I can rely to when I need a breather , help in fetching thm.

Take care of oneself is important, pamper ourselves and feel good by looking good. Eat supplements, tonic and superFoods less sugar, salt and will have the energy.

Find a way to keep all the calendar events and reminders using technology and one that works well for you. Know some still prefer paper and pen and that’s fine as long as you have a way to do it efficiently.

Ask for support and is okay to seek help. Do not take it all upon yourself and kept it till it become toxins in your body.

I hope that through my sharing, it draws inspiration and personal reflection for you. I believe every woman can be a leader in your own way.
