Today’s guest is Ashley Copeland. Ashley is a blogger, podcaster and YouTuber who focuses on investing and growing your money — specifically how you can make your money work for you, and grow it passively.
Ashley has a podcast and a YouTube channel called Stacks and the City, which is all about how to get money, save money, and be financially savvy while still living a very urban, millennial lifestyle. She has a six-figure net worth and built it through real estate and investments.
Ashley’s journey goes all the back to her childhood. She was raised by a single, working mom and lived below the poverty line even with her mom working multiple jobs. She knew that she never wanted to feel like that in adulthood, so as a teenager, she started reading investment books and figuring out the best way to bolster her income for the long-term.
For Ashley, there was no other choice but to save money on things like shopping and eating out, so she could focus on building her investments and provide a foundation for her future. That line of thinking is what lead her to teaching others about money and the power of investing.
In this episode, we discuss making money as a freelancer, how you can increase your income, and how to manage a team. Everything we talk about is centered around increasing your income, so when you’re making the big bucks you don’t just have that money sitting in a bank account.
“I think that some of the money issues that our peers have are because they feel like they need to keep up with the Jones’s or keep up on Instagram.”
In this episode Ashley talks about:
Her personal background and inspiration for her wealth management. The best way that you can start building wealth today and how to make it last into the future.
